Welcome to Brave Tails. 🌼

This story was created for kids who don’t always see themselves in the pages of a book—and for the kids who need help understanding friends who move, feel, or communicate differently.

In Brave Tails Forest, you’ll meet characters with:

Wheelchairs, walkers, braces, hearing aids

Stutters, big worries, and different ways of speaking or listening, Patches of missing fur, unique bodies, and unique minds.

They all have one thing in common:
they are loved, included, and important to the story.

Brave Tails is here to help you:

Start gentle conversations about disability, mental health, and difference.

Teach that tools (like wheels, walkers, and hearing aids) help us live our lives—they are not something to hide.

Remind every child: “There is nothing wrong with you for being who you are.”

This book is not medical or therapy advice, and it can’t replace doctors, counselors, or teachers. What it can do is give you a cozy place to begin:

Ask: “Which character feels most like you?”

Talk about: “What helps you when things are hard?”

Wonder together: “How can we be good friends to kids who are different from us?”

Thank you for choosing stories that tell every child:
Your story matters. Your feelings matter. You belong here.

With kindness,
The Brave Tails Forest 🐾
